SAMAX Rail B.V. is owner of a ZPMC trolley rail working platform. This working platform is used for maintenance, replacement and inspection of the trolley rails on STS cranes. Our platform has an inboard motor and hydraulic drive which is operated by remote control. The platform is lifted on the trolley rail with use of the service crane in the machine house or with a mobile crane. By using the working platform the works can be executed in a shorter time compared to using scaffolding. It is also easier to test the rails after replacement of the rail pieces by lowering the platform. If defects still occur then the platform can be lifted back in position quickly.
For the replacement of the short rail end pieces we deploy certified rail welders with many years of rail welding experience. SAMAX Rail can also supply the trolley rail materials such as the rails, rubber nosed clips, short rail end pieces, clips for the short rail end pieces and (steel reinforced) elastic pad.
The ZPMC Working Platform is used for the following works:
- Inspection works
- Sandblasting and preservation works
- Replacement of clips and elastic pad
- Replacement of rails and short rail end pieces
